Modern dentistry has so much to
offer you. We are committed to providing you with the most advanced
techniques and services available. Currently, we can offer you these
state-of-the-art technologies in our practice:
Early detection of cavities is key in minimizing
extensive treatment. By using the DIAGNOdent laser cavity detector,
we are able to diagnose even the smallest cavity and restore it
for you conservatively and painlessly.
Digital X-rays are the new standard of diagnostic
excellence. They reduce exposure to radiation by 90% and give an
improved image quality. They also minimize your exposure to dangerous
chemicals such as developer and fixer, since the digital X-rays
are “scanned” into our computer system. In addition,
the environment is spared the disposal of the lead sheets in traditional
X-ray film packets.
In our practice, we offer you a choice of composite
resin fillings instead of the amalgam (silver) fillings. Not only
do they look and feel better, but we can much more conservative
with your remaining tooth structure than with the old silver fillings.
We are a mercury-free practice since we are not restoring your teeth
with the amalgam fillings. This provides you and your family with
health benefits as well as to the community by reducing mercury
toxicity and waste.
We can actually listen to your jaw joints and evaluate
you for potential TMJ disorders. The Doppler is a small ultrasound
machine that is gently placed on the side of your face over your
jaw joints (in front of your ears). The device will record any joint
sounds produced during jaw movements guided by Dr. Brown or Dr.
Amos. Then, Dr. Brown and Dr. Amos can use this information to make
a diagnosis of your specific condition.
At your initial visit, we will photograph your
teeth and smile for Dr. Brown and Dr. Amos to review with you. There
is no more waiting since you can view your images instantly. If
you desire, our graphic designer can demonstrate your personal before
and after smile makeover. In addition, Dr. Brown and Dr. Amos use
digital photography to educate you about your dental health or treatment
options for you. They also communicate precise details to our lab
technicians about your smile makeover.
